A qualified medical evaluation is a process of evaluating an injured worker seeking a workers' compensation claim by a qualified medical examiner (QME). A QME is a physician who has certification from the Division of Workers' Compensation Medical Unit (DWC) to evaluate injured workers and determine eligibility criteria for workers' compensation benefits.
Expert witness services are services provided by a qualified medical expert based on information given by a court of law in a medicolegal case. The services of the expert witness may be employed for litigations, arbitrations, or tribunals.
